What We Did
Navy Pier, Millennium Park, Alder Planetarium, Shedd Aquarium, John Hancock Center, Grant Park, Magnificent Mile
How We Got Around
Hop On/Off Bus
CTA- train and bus
If you are staying in downtown Chicago a stroller is all you need. Chicago is very walk-able and we didn't have the need to get into a cab once. We landed at O'Hare International airport and took the train to our downtown hotel near the John Hancock Center. We got tickets for the Big Bus Hop On/Off which does a loop of 14 stops including all the must-sees of the city. We were able to store our full sized stroller on the lower level and enjoyed the views of the city from the top. Even if don't get the the hop on/off bus tickets, if you are a walker, you can manage walking to a lot of the sites (we walked to the Navy Pier and Millennium Park one day) or take the public city bus which we did to Grant Park for the Taste of Chicago.
Since there was so much walking and no obstacles of lots of stairs with no elevators or narrow streets we used the stroller everywhere and would recommend this over a carrier.
