It’s one thing to be stuck on an airplane with a toddler for an extended period of time but a road trip is another level. Keeping the little ones entertained in such a tight space is something that deserves an award. Investing in a travel tray is key to keeping your sanity and avoiding the dreaded "Are we there yet?" question over and over again. I've used a couple of travel trays and ZoomKIT is my favorite.
ZoomKIT is a portable travel table that can be used in car seats, strollers, at the beach, park, on the plane, and really anywhere. As you can see pictured below it comes with the tray, legs, a strap to secure it around your child, and an insert case that can hold whatever your child needs including paper, stickers, toys, etc. The legs easily snap on and your ready to in 30 seconds. Your child can place their drink in the cup holder and crayons, pencils, etc. in the cut out next to it. Now your child has a surface to play, color, and/or draw without worrying about crayons falling on the floor every time you break or make a turn.
In addition to just the tray ZoomKIT sells to inserts, ZoomSNACK and ZoomART.
The ZoomSNACK insert is great for eating on the go. You can pre-pack your child's lunch or snack and keep it in a cooler until they are ready to eat. I love that it comes with a spork that is attached to the tray preventing it from falling on the floor- no more "Mommy I dropped my utensil and I can't reach it." We even used ours at the beach so it's great for picnics with the little ones.
The ZoomART insert provides a way to keep your child busy on your drive, walk, or flight. It comes with crayons, erasable markers, an eraser, stickers, a coloring book, and play book that has activities. The crayons and markers snap in so you don't have to worry about them being lost. Jordyn's favorite part were definitely the stickers, the girl is obsessed!
